T318-B - Want to Join a Trek to the Summit?

We were contacted today by a local Scouts BSA troop that is looking for Scouts interested in going for High Adventure at the Summit this August. They are going to be on a 7-day adventure from August 1-7, 2024. They are doing the Summit Experience Trac, a program that includes BMX, skateboarding, mountain biking, zip lines, canopy tours, climbing, shooting sports, and more! They are looking to fill out the Crew and have openings for 2-3 Scouts. There is also one adult position possible, but it would take the place of one of the Scout slots. The other troop is boy-only, so this opportunity is likely is open to only 318-B.

To join this crew, you must be at least 13-years old at the time of the trek. They would prefer Scouts who have achieved at least the rank of First Class. The cost will be $1,300 per person, and that includes all of the Summit fees and driving transportation to West Virginia and back. While there are no shake-out events prior to the adventure, all Scouts would need to have completed a swim test prior to leaving for the Summit.

Completed applications will be sent to both me and one of the leaders of the other troop. We will likely leave the form up for a couple of weeks, but I expect these spots to go quickly.
