“Dr. Wentz not only cares for The City of Ferguson’s police dogs, but many neighboring police station’s as well. Because these dogs are healthy, our streets remain safe. He works with several rescue groups and gives them drastically reduced rates so that we can lessen the overpopulation problem. He hosts so many low-cost vaccine clinics annually that I cannot count them on two hands. Not because he makes money doing it, but because in our area, people cannot afford a full-cost vaccine most of the time. We recently had a client who had been coming to in with his cats for several years lose a battle to cancer. Without batting an eye, Dr. Wentz agreed to take in all 4 of this client’s cats, and promise that they would find good homes for them. Many of his clients have lost homes or jobs recently, and he willingly takes them in and finds them a new family. Dr. Wentz donates gift certificates for fundraisers. I have seen him so many times that I can’t even count say to a client ‘Here is my cellphone number. Please call me day or night if you have any concerns.”
