2.             Universal Rule of the SJMSBL For all Divisions: Rules will NOT be changed during the regular or Playoff Season. If you have a rule change… Save it for next year’s Divisional Meeting. Managers will then have the opportunity to discuss and Vote on the rule.

4.               Universal Rule of the SJMSBL For all Divisions: 2023 MLB NEW pickoff rule & NEW pitch will NOT apply to the SJMSBL.

5.             Each 9-inning game shall have a three-hour time limit.  Each 7-inning game shall have a 2.5-hour time limit.  The clock starts running upon the actual start of play (the 1st pitch), not the scheduled start of play.  The time at the last out of the prior inning determines if the time limit has expired (not the time at the start of the next inning).  Once an inning has started, it shall be played to its completion.  Games that are tied at the end of time limit end as a TIE. The game remains an official tie and shall be included as such in the standings.  This shall not apply to playoff games. Play continues until a winner is determined. In a Playoff Game, if a game is tied at the end of the game. The game will be played until there is a winner. The new MLB rule of starting an extra inning with a runner at second base does NOT apply to the SJMSBL.

10.        Universal Rule of the SJMSBL For all Divisions: -        All stats need to be entered no later than 7/16. Stats should be entered weekly to avoid confusion at the end. Games played are required in the stats.
