Ryan Schneider got the win & pitched 4 solid innings , giving up 2 runs in the 1st inning and shutting Berkeley out the next 3 innings. Jack Henry, threw 2 scoreless innings for the save.... Impressive win for our boys considering they were held to 1 hit..... Let's Go Holbrook...get those bats working for your next game!! |

| Tony D 12's -District Champs!! July 12, 2016 11:25:27 PM Entry ID: 2076209 | The Holbrook 12's WON the District 18 Championship tonight with another amazing display of power!! Blasting 5 more HomeRuns, the last one a Grand Slam, Walk-Off HomeRun in the 4th by Jayden Toucher to end the game in dramatic fashion 15-5!!... The Game started off with a Homerun in the top of the 1st from Matt Potok to give Jackson a 1-0 lead. The Holbrook Home Run Derby put up 4 runs in the bottom of the 1st on 2-run HomeRuns by Steven Davis and Gavin Bonitz, to give Holbrook a 4-1 lead they would not relinquish. Holbrook added a run in the 2nd, but in the 3rd, Matt Potok hit his second homer of the night, a 2 run blast to right, followed by a HomeRun from Nick Storaci, making the game 5-4 Holbrook and far from over!!... Holbrook put up 6 runs in their half of the 3rd to pull away 10-4, on Homeruns by Dallas Weisse and a 2 run shot from Jonny Sefick. Holbrook pounded out 17 hits in 3 1/3 innings, finally unleashing their bats for more than just home runs.... Toucher started the game and got the win giving up just 5 hits, including the 3 HomeRuns to a very good hitting Jackson team.... Great Job Boys!! On to the Sectionals on Saturday night in Freehold!! |

| Tony D HBLL edges JLL July 12, 2016 11:44:17 AM Entry ID: 2076185 | Last night may have been the MLB Home Run Derby, but Holbrook & Jackson put on their own version for the second time in 4 days!!... The Holbrook Baseball 12's edged the Jackson LL 12's 12-10 last night at a packed house at Holbrook LL in Game 1 of the District 18 Championship Round. Game 2 for the Championship is tonight at 6:30 at Holbrook LL.... Jackson jumped on top 7-0 in the top 1st powered by a 3 run HomeRun off the bat of Nick Storaci. Holbrook answered with 4 runs in their half of the 1st on HomeRuns by Jayden Toucher & Gavin Bonitz. And the game was ON!!!... Jake Hickman kept Jackson within striking distance, but Jackson scored 3 more in the 3rd, to take a 10-5 lead. Holbrook scored 1 in the 2nd & 3 in the 3rd, including a BOMB from Mike Tamburino that may or may not have landed yet... But Jackson still had a 10-8 lead.... Holbrook took the lead for the first time in the game in the 5th on a Grand Slam HomeRun by Bonitz, his second of the game and 4 in 2 games vs Jackson!!... With 2 more innings for Jackson to bat, everyone knew this game was far from over. But Devin Foderaro threw scoreless 4th, 5th & 6th innings to get the win and force Game 2 tonight!!... Storaci, Matt Potok and Zach Rogacki all had 2 hits for Jackson. Dallas Weisse added a triple for Holbrook, in the game clearly determined by the Homeruns.... Tonight promises to be more of the same for this "WINNER TAKE ALL" game. Come out and see some great All-Star Baseball before watching the MLB All-Star game on TV.... Guarantee this one will be more fun!! |

July 12, 2016 11:10:26 AM Entry ID: 2076181 | The District 18 Big League Team, (17 & 18yr olds) which has 3 Holbrook players, Timmy Beck, Andrew Ludavico and Scott Ricci, won a big doubleheader over District 3 last night to become the NJ State Champions!!... They now advance to the Eastern Region Championships in Dover, DE on Saturday!!... The team is Managed by District 18 DA - Elect, Frank Trenkle and coached by our very own, huggable and lovable poke'mon, David Ricci Sr. ... Highlights from the Games include... Game # 1, Score 6-3: Great pitching from starter Nicolas Chirichello (5 IP, 5 K's 6 Hits, 2 Runs) and closer Andrew Ludovico (2 IP, 1K, 1 Hit, 1 Run). Key hits from Justin Santiago (3 for 3 with a triple - 3 RBI's), Dan Berg (1 for 2, 2 Hits and 1 RBI) and Teddy Gonzalez (1 for 3, 1 RBI).... Game # 2, Score 3-1: Complete game pitching from David Clark (7 IP, 4 K's, 4 Hits, 1 Run). Big hits again from Teddy Gonzalez again (2 for 3, 1 2B and 1BB). Holbrook held a close 1-0 lead after 3, but exploded for 3 runs in the 4th and 7 in the 5th to blow the game open!... Pitcher R.J. Vashey pitched a solid 4 2/3 and struck out 8 for the win. Vashey also helped himself with a home run.... Anthony Abbonizio had 2 doubles and a Home Run, and Charlie Meglio also added a Home Run!! John Grano had 2 doubles and a walk and Ryan Kinsman added 3 hits.... Our boys play Berkeley at Holbrook on Wednesday night!! Come out and support our 11's!! |

HOLBROOK LL vs JACKSON LL in GAME 1 of the DISTRICT 18 LITTLE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES at 6:30 pm @ HOLBROOK'S "JIM FURLONG" MAJOR LEAGUE FIELD!!... After winning a 7-6 Home Run fest last week in Toms River against Holbrook, Jackson LL will defend last years D18 Title that began their run to become New Jersey State Champs and come within one game of being the Eastern Region Champs and going to Williamsport for the Little League World Series!!... Holbrook has their work cut out for them as they will have to defeat Jackson twice to become the Champs in this double elimination Championship Series. Game 2 would be on Tuesday.... The complex will be packed with Jackson Township fans cheering on their favorite team!! Come early and get a good parking spot..) If you LOVE Little League Baseball at its BEST...Holbrook LL is the place to be on Monday Night!! |

| Tony D Holbrook 11's... July 10, 2016 5:34:19 PM Entry ID: 2076114 | The Holbrook 11's FINALLY begin pool play on Monday, in Brick vs Stafford LL at 7pm!!..... Last time we watched these boys play together, it was a hot August 2015 Summer Saturday morning in Rhode Island, and the end of a magical season that saw them become District 18 Champions, Section 3 Champions, New Jersey State Champions and Mid-Atlantic Champions!! ....They were one pitch away from being crowned the Eastern Region Champions.. but being #2 out of 2000+ Little Leagues and 10 States from Maine to Maryland, ain't so bad either!! If you can't get to Brick on Monday night because you're at Holbrook watching Holbrook vs Jackson in the 12 yr old District 18 Championship, catch them at home on Wednesday night vs Berkeley at 6:30pm!!... Good Luck boys!! |

| Tony D Major MIT Team Wins July 10, 2016 4:36:33 PM Entry ID: 2076109 | The Holbrook Major MIT team won their first game of the tournament 5-1 today..... Devin Mark was dominant for 5 1/3 innings striking out 12 batters. Casey Braun closed out the game on five pitches.... Braun and Mark led the way offensively as well. In the bottom of the first Mark drove in two runs with a double scoring Paul Izzo and John Cho. Braun followed with a triple that drove in Mark. Matt Kavanagh singled home Braun to stake Holbrook to a 4 - 0 lead.... The boys played excellent defense especially in the sixth where the second and third outs were both recorded at home plate. With bases loaded the batter grounded back to Braun who flipped to Kavanagh at the plate for the force. On the final play of the game there was a sharp liner to center field. Anthony Keneally fielded it and fired to the cutoff man Izzo who fired home to Kavanagh who tagged the runner from second to end the game.... It was an all-around great game with an exciting ending to cap it off |

Great job boys!! Nice bounce back win. Keep it going!!.... Holbrook 10's won 13-2. Play the crossover game on Sunday in Beachwood vs Stafford. Great job guys finishing 3-1 in pool play. Single elimination here on out!... Holbrook Softball 12's were eliminated in the Sections 6-0, forfeiting to Lincroft who then beat Ocean 20-0.... Lincroft vs Robbinsville Sunday morning at 10am on Bartley 1 for Section 3 Championship and on to States!!... Major MIT & 8yr old Pitching machine Tournament Teams were rained out. |

| Tony D JLL edges HBLL July 8, 2016 1:50:01 PM Entry ID: 2076042 | Holbrook's 12 year old All-Stars were out slugged by Jackson LL last night as Jackson won a 7-6 homer fest, and a spot in the District 18 Championship game on Monday at Holbrook.... 2 home-runs by Gavin Bonitz, and solo shots from Jayden Toucher and Gavin Kus were not enough to counter the 3 Home-runs, (the last a 3 run shot), that JLL hit.... Our boys now play Toms River East American on Saturday at Toms River LL at 10am. A win will put them in the Championship game against Jackson. |
