Holbrook is in the process of organizing its Mens Baseball League for the 3rd Year... The Holbrook Mens League is open to all players 18 and older... Coaches, parents, older siblings, anyone looking to re-live the "GLORY DAYS" !!! Tentative Start Date: The weekend of June 5th. New teams will have an opportunity to form and practice before being scheduled... Schedule : 2 games per week thru August. Playoffs & Championship Series to follow.... Games will be on Sundays with a mix of Saturdays & Weeknights. We will try to accommodate all requests.... Fees: $650 per team, with a cash prize for the winning team.... Roster: Unlimited.... On another matter congrats to the Brewers for their win over the Reds and and for keeping my Dodger redord of 2 consecutive unbeaten seasons intacked.. LOL I guess I have to buy the breakfast. Jackson April 18, 2016 3:51:54 PM Entry ID: 2073046 | Presidents John Morvay,Joe Nicoletti,Pete Spall and Tony Delvechio all of which were here ,volunteers for the Kids.Pete Spall manicured and made the Major Field and others into Tournament fields,Dave Ricci kept them that way after Pete left and now Frank Racanelli is doing the sameAll these guys do it for free and get very little appreciation,another guy is Dave Citron.So please lend them a hand when they need it as it is for your boys and girls.If I omittd someone forgive me as I willbe back on here soon as I am trying to remember all my coaches and others that are instrumental to the running of the League.one more thing Doug Beneke has done a great Job of delegating the use of our indoor Facility since its inception and now Scott Ricci is trying to do the same,so help instead of complain and everyone will enjoy the experience fully Thanks again |

Jackson April 18, 2016 3:39:22 PM Entry ID: 2073045 | I would like to Thank Tony and the Board members that gave me the greatest honor in my life Saturday at opening day.I thought Friday nights Dinner was great also.It is amazing to get honored for doing what you truly love.I also want to thank all the great guys that coached with me over the years,without them I wouldnt have been at Holbrook for 42 years..Also thanks to all the parents that have been so helpful and Loyal to me and the Dodgers,a lot of who have become very treaured friends.and last but certainly not least the great boys and girls that have played for the Dodgers.When I first started there were 3 fields and 15 man rosters ,with 10 teams in each division.The improvements have been awesome ,and done mainly by Volunteers.Umpires like Jackie Nolan,Joey Fitz,and Ed Scott who did it for free for more than 25 years,Board Presidents Like Saul Marleson,Joe Panik,Steve Pumm aqnd |
